Entering The Age of Aquarius - Waking Up the World

I have been getting a lot of messages about the lessons we have learnt in the Age of Pisces, and how we will take them with us into our very new Age of Aquarius. The general consensus is an Astrological Age is about 2,150 years with some deviation because the earth’s rotations vary in length. Fish symbolism surrounds Jesus because He was the central symbol of the Age of Pisces, the astrological sign of the fish. Previous ages – of Taurus and Aries – produced bull and ram symbolism. The coming age is that of Aquarius, the Water Bearer. The Age of Aquarius is set to overturn social conventions and breathe fresh air into mundane institution. The rapid changes in technology we’ve seen in the last number of years was orchestrated by the universal forces or the divine to prepare us for the next new age, and like Aquarius, this period of time is linked to electronics, science, secularisation, humanitarianism, the collaboration of communities and individualisation.

The Age of Pisces added fluid to our spiritual teachings; the Age where spiritual teachers such as Jesus, Buddha and Mohammed emerged and urged others to reach out to the light. Their message had been the same, that, no matter what,we can all reach the same, that, when are able to realize the oneness, we will find God. In this, they had all invited us to share in the divine consciousness. In the Gospel of Luke it is said “A man will meet you carrying an earthen pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he goes in” 22:10. Since the Age of Aquarius is symbolised by a water-bearer, this line from the Bible is seen as a recommendation by Jesus to enter the astrological ‘house’ of Aquarius, which is the age superseding the Age of Pisces; in which Christianity has been a dominant world religion. Jesus was born on the cusp of the Age of Aries and the Age of Pisces according to astrological divisions. The Age of Pisces, which is said to have started around Christ’s birth, is dominated by fish symbology and it is noteworthy that fish feature prominently in the New Testament - Jesus took on fishermen as disciples, multiplied fish to feed the hungry and ate a fish after his resurrection. As Jesus waits in the home of Aquarius, the 11th House, the water bearer nourishes humanity with new insights, expansion and the promise of finding a peace that is truly individualised.

This is a time of the merging of the opposites, the masculine and the feminine. These two energies “within” each of us will once again work together to know God. And, they will act on divine inspiration, bringing messages from the divine to manifestation in the world. We will become “spiritual beings having a human experience,” instead of human beings having a worldly experience. Spirit and matter will merge and function as one. So as we now move into a more secularised society - the Aquarian world, where the patriarchy of religion is diminishing and ancient arts of alchemy are resurrecting. The Age of Aquarius, the Age of Reason that  struggles to take back control from the dreamy Age of Pisces which has swept throughout the world over the last 2000 years or so.. And yet no matter how far we move into the Aquarian Age we are also constantly reminded of the great lessons that we learnt in the Age of Pisces, our need for compassion, warmth, kindness, humanity, oneness, acceptance… and pure love ..
